Hope you're all enjoying the summer and this glorious weather! Just a reminder to everyone that, if you want to submit something for the Feature of the Month, please just get in touch with me at [email protected]. We're currently covered until the end of November, so there would be plenty of time to get something together. We'd be particularly interested in anything in the fields of personal names or literary onomastics, but, of course, wouldn't turn down anything toponymic in nature!

Just 'bumping' this post up a bit, and taking the chance to remind everyone that we're always interested in potential features for our monthly blog. In the last eighteen months, we've had features on a wide range of topics, including Ghanaian place-names, Copenhagen urban names, Scottish hagiotoponyms, whisky place-names, and much more! Thanks to all our contributors so far, and particularly to Prof. Peder Gammeltoft, who has written several very useful (and easy-to-follow!) posts on mastering geocoding.

If anyone is interested in contributing a feature (or an advert for an upcoming conference or publication), please just get in touch with me at [email protected].

Some exciting features are already confirmed for the coming months, including some insights into personal names in Ethiopia, but we're always looking for more! Usual length is c.1500 words (though we've had posts from 600-2000+).
